By Train:
Chiltern Railways : Marylebone - Birmingham Line
  • To Great Missenden Train station, Bucks.
  • 5 Minutes walk.
From the M40 (Heading either West or East)

Approx. 11miles/16 mins. travel time
  • Leave the Motorway at Junction 2
  • Take the A355 towards Beaconsfield
  • Turn left at the A40 roundabout to Beaconsfield.
  • At the next roundabout turn right taking the A355 to Amersham.
  • At Amersham bypass roundabout (at the bottom of long hill) turn left towards High Wycombe & Aylesbury.
  • At next roundabout turn right onto A413 towards Great Missenden & Aylesbury
  • Ignore the 1st Gt. Missenden turn. Turn left at the 2nd of 2 nearby roundabouts. 300 metres on your right is a public car park.
From the M25 Approx. 11miles/20 mins. travel time
  • Leave the Motorway at Junction 18 (Chorleywood & Richkmansworth)
  • Follow the A404 West towards Amersham; passing through the outskirts of Chorleywood and through Little Chalfont.
  • On the outskirts of Amersham at the mini roundabout with a railway bridge on your right, go straight on. This road drops downhill and meets the Amersham bypass. Take this towards High Wycombe & Aylesbury.
  • At next roundabout turn right on A413 towards Great Missenden & Aylesbury
  • Ignore the 1st Gt. Missenden turn. Turn left at the 2nd of 2 nearby roundabouts. 300 metres on your right is a public car park.
From the public car park to MRI
  • Walk up to the High Street
  • Turn left down the High Street
  • After approx. 200 metres you will pass the Roald Dahl Museum (painted pale blue).
  • 20 metres after this is an archway into a cobbled courtyard. We are behind the brown wooden door on the left hand side.
